Research Statement
More than 15 years of experience in the design of AUVs, acoustic ocean instruments, overall underwater systems based on low power analog and digital design, using Orcad schematic and firmware coding (DSP, PIC, x86) and Matlab simulations. Maintain accurate bills of materials and process sheets, write engineering reports, and work with manufacturing and operator on the field to trouble shoot board and system level problems.
Research Interests
Compact electronic and electro-mechanical designs for AUV and underwater instrumentation. Most work done in control systems; analog and digital electronics; signal processing; acoustic communication; overall underwater system design.
